{"id":692,"date":"2022-02-10T15:04:45","date_gmt":"2022-02-10T20:04:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/?p=692"},"modified":"2022-05-19T13:20:39","modified_gmt":"2022-05-19T18:20:39","slug":"batch-in-batch-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/blog\/batch-in-batch-out\/","title":{"rendered":"Batch In Batch Out"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"batch-in\">batch in<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><em>\u201cBatch In\u201d <\/em><\/strong>(see figure 60) option is used to batch <strong>MULTIPLE <\/strong>items into the evidence\/property room. <strong><em>Remember all items the user wants to batch into the application, need to be going to the same \u201cEvidence Room Location.\u201d <\/em><\/strong>The user will need to either scan the tracking number on the evidence label or input the tracking number via the keyboard into the yellow shaded box labeled <strong><em>\u201cTracking Number.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the items can be batched into the application, there will be a green \u201ccheckmark\u201d shown in the \u201cValid\u201d column as shown in figure 62. If the user receives a red \u201cX\u201d in the \u201cValid\u201d column, the user will need to search the chain of custody log and verify the item was batched out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The user will then need to input information for <strong><em>\u201cIn From Person\/Place,\u201d <\/em><\/strong>and<strong><em> \u201cReceived By.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Then the user will need to select <strong><em>\u201cSave.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> (see figure 62)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"470\" height=\"282\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Figure62.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-693\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Figure62.png 470w, https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Figure62-300x180.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 470px) 100vw, 470px\" \/><figcaption>Figure 62<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"batch-out\">batch out<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><em>\u201cBatch Out\u201d <\/em><\/strong>(see figure 64) option is used to batch items or evidence out of the evidence\/property room, for example, if an item is returned to the owner, the user would use this option. The <strong><em>\u201cOut To Place\u201d <\/em><\/strong>would be the disposition of that item, i.e., <strong><em>\u201cOWNER.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> The <strong><em>\u201cReceived By\u201d <\/em><\/strong>would be the person accepting the item from the evidence\/property room. The <strong><em>\u201cDate Out\u201d <\/em><\/strong>is automatically stamped by the PMI application. The <strong><em>\u201cReason Out\u201d <\/em><\/strong>would be information the department needs to process the item out, i.e., <strong><em>\u201cCourt Order.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"562\" height=\"299\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/BatchOut-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-694\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/BatchOut-1.png 562w, https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/BatchOut-1-300x160.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 562px) 100vw, 562px\" \/><figcaption>Figure 63<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><em>\u201cCase Number\u201d <\/em><\/strong>option should only be used if the user is batching <strong><em>ALL <\/em><\/strong>pieces assigned to the case number in or out and to the same destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"final-out\">final out<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><em>\u201cFinal Out\u201d<\/em><\/strong> checkbox is used for items that will not be returned to the evidence\/property room. For example, if a case is closed and some of the items were not used as exhibits in the case, the case is closed and there is a recorded conviction.
