The <strong><em>\u201cAssets Log\u201d <\/em><\/strong>is designed similarly to the <strong><em>\u201cEvidence Log.\u201d <\/em><\/strong>This feature is available for anyone with <strong><em>\u201cAsset\u201d <\/em><\/strong>permissions and has 4 new tabs to choose from (Setup, Reports, Archive, and Help).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a>The <\/a><strong><em>\u201cAssets Log\u201d<\/em><\/strong> (see figure 96)is the primary input screen for assets and the heart of the asset management portion of the PMI Evidence Tracker\u2122 application. All property is logged neatly and systematically into the program, ensuring that each piece of equipment is managed in a consistent and accurate manner. Information on an asset, its location, and to whom it is assigned can be quickly produced on demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"624\" height=\"444\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/AssetLog.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-530\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/AssetLog.png 624w, https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/AssetLog-300x213.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 624px) 100vw, 624px\" \/><figcaption>Figure 96<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Notice the <strong><em>\u201cAsset Log\u201d<\/em><\/strong> uses a simple, one-screen format for entering data as well as seven options listed in the left pane, i.e., <strong><em>\u201cPrint Label,\u201d<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>\u201cFind,\u201d<\/em><\/strong><em> <strong>\u201cDelete,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> <strong><em>\u201cAdd,\u201d<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>\u201cCancel,\u201d<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>\u201cSave,\u201d<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>\u201cAttachments\u201d<\/em><\/strong> as in the <strong><em>\u201cEvidence Log.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"customizing-the-asset-log\">Customizing the asset log<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>To customize the <strong><em>\u201cAsset Log\u201d <\/em><\/strong>the user must have <strong><em>\u201cAdministrator\u201d <\/em><\/strong>permission. The customization process of the <strong><em>\u201cAsset Log\u201d <\/em><\/strong>is identical to the <strong><em>\u201cEvidence Log.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>Please refer to the process for customizing the \u201cEvidence Log\u201d as a guide to customizing the Asset Log.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"entering-assets\">Entering Assets<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>When the user first access the <strong><em>\u201cAsset Log,\u201d<\/em><\/strong> they will notice that some fields are shaded yellow. All yellow shaded fields are mandatory and must be filled in before a record can be saved. The user can move from field to field in this screen either by pressing the \u201cTab\u201d key or by selecting the desired field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"setup\">Setup<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><em>\u201cSetup\u201d <\/em><\/strong>tab is where the user can reset the field headers by selecting <strong><em>\u201cReset Field Headers.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"asset-reports\">Asset reports<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><em>\u201cReports\u201d <\/em><\/strong>tab (see figure 97) will list all preloaded <strong><em>\u201cAsset\u201d <\/em><\/strong>reports. <em>(Asset List, Archived Asset List, Asset Category Report, Asset Receipt, Audit Report, and Express Custom Reports (which will open the same Express Custom Reports as the reports tab on the main screen)).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"249\" height=\"179\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/AssetsReportsTab.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-531\"\/><figcaption>Figure 97<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"asset-list\">asset list<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><em>\u201cAsset List\u201d <\/em><\/strong>report (see figure 98) generates a report that displays all assets entered in the <strong><em>\u201cAsset Log.\u201d <\/em><\/strong>The report will also show items that have been <strong><em>\u201cLiquidated.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"624\" height=\"234\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/AssetList.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-532\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/AssetList.png 624w, https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/AssetList-300x113.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 624px) 100vw, 624px\" \/><figcaption>Figure 98<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"archived-asset-list\">Archived asset list<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><em>\u201cArchived Asset List\u201d <\/em><\/strong>report (see figure 99) will display all assets that have been archived. This window will display a list of the department\u2019s asset category. To move an item from active to an archive, double click an asset to archive and then select <strong><em>\u201cArchive One.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> If the user wants to archive all the items listed in the <strong><em>\u201cArchive Case\u201d<\/em><\/strong> list, select <strong><em>\u201cArchive All.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Once completed, the item will be <strong>PERMANENTLY<\/strong> removed from Assets.
