The user can select <strong><em>\u201cReport on Selected Item,\u201d \u201cReport on Selected Case,\u201d \u201cFilter List,\u201d <\/em><\/strong>or <strong><em>\u201cReport from Case #.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once a case number or item in a case has been selected, the user will need to select one of the previously listed options. Once the report is generated, it provides documentation that can be placed in a case file or given to an individual their records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"397\" height=\"227\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/CaseAndCustody.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-507\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/CaseAndCustody.png 397w, https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/CaseAndCustody-300x172.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 397px) 100vw, 397px\" \/><figcaption>Figure 66<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><em>\u201cReport on Selected Item\u201d <\/em><\/strong>option will produce information regarding the item selected and its\u2019 chain of custody log. The <strong><em>\u201cReport on Selected Case\u201d <\/em><\/strong>option will generate a report for <strong><em>ALL <\/em><\/strong>items listed under the selected case number and each items chain of custody records. The <strong><em>\u201cFilter List\u201d <\/em><\/strong>option enables the user to filter the information displayed in the list down to a case number that might have many items related to it. The <strong><em>\u201cReport from Case #\u201d<\/em><\/strong> (see figure 67) option will enable the user to enter the case number they wish to view case and custody information for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the desired report is displayed and the user has all the information they need. They can choose to print the report by selecting the printer icon in the upper middle of the report screen. Another way to run the report is to highlight the desired case number and click onto the \u201cReport on Selected Case.\u201d This gives you a report of all records in the case. A third way to run the report is to click onto the \u201cFilter List\u201d button and it gives you a drop-down to select by Case Number or by Tracking Number. A fourth way to run the report is to click onto the \u201cReport from Case Number\u201d button and a case number input screen will be displayed. Enter the case number you want to run a report on and click the \u201cOK\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"173\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pmievidencetracker.com\/manual\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/CaseAndCustodySearch.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-508\"\/><figcaption>Figure 67<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><em>\u201cCase and Custody\u201d<\/em> <\/strong>report (see figure 68) will show the case number, the department information, and the current date at the top of the report. The report will display the information on each piece listed and the batch out information regarding to its\u2019 location. The user can generate a <strong>\u201c<em>Cases Out\u201d<\/em><\/strong> report at any time to display which pieces of evidence that are checked out of the evidence\/property room. This report gives the user a grand total of cash logged into the evidence\/property room at the top left under the department information. The information listed in the report for each case number will provide the user with a total bill count, a total coin count, and a grand total listed under the case number. This feature only works if the user inputs the necessary information in the trigger window after selecting <strong><em>\u201cCash\u201d <\/em><\/strong>as the <strong><em>\u201cEvidence Type,\u201d <\/em><\/strong>and the user inputs the correct bill and coin count. The user will need to select field headers from the list in the left pane that they want the information from displayed on the report. For example, if the user needs information about case number, date of recovery, evidence description, evidence type, item#, suspect, and the tracking number, they will select those field headers from the left pane. First the user will need to select <strong><em>\u201cSELECT\u201d <\/em><\/strong>by clicking on it with the left mouse button. Once <strong><em>\u201cSELECT\u201d <\/em><\/strong>is selected it will highlight in green. This is accomplished by selecting <strong><em>\u201cWHERE\u201d <\/em><\/strong>then, selecting an option from the left pane (see figure 87). By clicking on a field header in the left pane. This puts the information of the report in the specific order that the user chooses.
