My label prints on more than one label

The sensors on your printer need calibrated so it knows how high a label is.

If you’re using a Zebra GC420T with the newest driver, please follow these instructions:

  1. Go to your Windows Start Open it and click Devices and Printers. If you’re using Windows XP it will be named Printers and Faxes.
  2. In the Printers window find your label printer.  It will most likely be named PMIPRINTER. Right-click it and select Printing Preferences.
  3. In the Printing Preferences window select the Tools
  4. In the Command Type list the word Action should be selected.  If it is not, click it to select it.
  5. In the Command Name list the words Calibrate media should be selected. If they are not click them to select them.
  6. Click the Send button at the bottom.  Your printer should spit out a few labels as it figures out where the edge of the label is. When it’s finished you’re safe to open the printer and feed those labels back in. Once the printer is snapped closed we continue.
  7. When the light turns green again try printing a label from Evidence Tracker.  It should be lined up now.

If you’re using an older printer, older driver, or if for some other reason the above steps don’t work for you should try the steps in this PDF:
